Why pitch changes along with speed
This tool resamples the audio, the same thing that happens when you play a record faster or slower — speed and pitch move together, so a 2x speed-up also raises the pitch. That's expected behaviour here, not a bug; if you need speed changed independently of pitch, that's a different (and much heavier) kind of processing.
Does this work on video files too?
Yes — drop a video and its audio track is extracted, sped up or slowed down, and returned as an MP3. It doesn't touch the video itself.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — decoding, resampling and MP3 encoding all happen entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
