What happens to my document?
Word files can't be converted inside the browser, so this tool briefly uses our EU-hosted server: your document is written to a temporary folder, converted to PDF by LibreOffice, and the folder is deleted the moment the conversion finishes — succeed or fail. Nothing is stored, logged or inspected.
Will the layout match Word exactly?
Very close in almost all cases. The conversion runs on LibreOffice, whose Word support is excellent for everyday documents; extremely intricate layouts (heavy text boxes, exotic fonts) can shift slightly.
Why does it sometimes take a while?
Conversions run one at a time on the server to keep things stable — at busy moments your file briefly waits in line. Most documents convert in a few seconds.
My document has a password
Password-protected files can't be read — remove the protection first, then convert.
