How the volume dip is applied
The video's own audio plays through a volume control that ramps down just before your start time and back up just after your end time — a short smooth ramp (0.15s) avoids an audible click at each edge. Everything outside that range plays at normal volume, unchanged.
Can I dim instead of fully muting?
Yes — pick 25%, 50% or 75% volume instead of fully muting, for a background-dip effect rather than total silence.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No — everything, including the recording step, happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
