How the Photo Studio works
Photo Studio brings the everyday photo jobs together on one page. Open a photo in any common format, then draw on it with the pencil, brush, spray, straight-line or eraser tools in any colour. Select a piece with the box or freehand lasso to copy, cut and paste it elsewhere. Open the Metadata panel to read or rewrite the EXIF fields, the Text panel to OCR the words out, and the Export panel to save as PNG, JPG or WebP — or a quick 3D anaglyph. Everything runs on your own device; no image ever leaves your browser.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Every part of the Photo Studio — drawing, cutting and pasting, OCR, metadata, export — runs entirely in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device.
How does cut, copy and paste work?
Pick Select box or Freehand select and draw around the part you want. Copy keeps it, Cut removes it from the photo. Then press Paste: the piece floats on the image — drag it where you want and click once to drop it in place.
Can I edit the EXIF data of a photo?
Yes. The Metadata panel shows the maker, model, date, author and copyright already stored in the file. Change any field and press Apply to download a JPG with your values written in. Leaving a field empty removes it.
What is the 3D anaglyph export?
It shifts the red and cyan channels apart so the image pops when viewed through red/cyan 3D glasses — a quick, stylised effect. For a proper depth-aware 3D image built from an AI depth map, use our dedicated Image to 3D tool.
Why can't I drag a selection with the mouse?
A selection is only an outline: it marks a piece, it does not lift it out of the photo yet. The arrow keys move it — the first press cuts the piece loose and it starts floating (hold Shift for ten pixels at a time). One Rotate, Size or Flip in the Draw panel lifts it just the same. From that moment you can also drag it with the mouse, and a single click outside drops it in place. Paste on another tab lands on exactly the same spot you copied it from, so successive frames line up; on the tab you copied from it steps over a little so it stays visible.
Can I place an added photo exactly?
Yes. A photo you add comes in at its own size — an 800 × 800 photo on an 800 × 800 canvas fills it exactly. Under Photos & layers you see its width and height in pixels and you can type them straight in; the 1:1 button puts it back to its own pixels. Drag it with the mouse, or use the arrow keys for pixel-exact placement (Shift steps ten at a time). Width and height keep their ratio, so a photo never stretches.
