Not a weekly digest, not a drip campaign, and never a mail sent because it had been a while. In practice that is a handful of letters a year — and every one of them also appears in full on our news page, so you can see exactly what you're signing up for before you sign up for it.

Why we ask you to confirm

Anyone can type anyone's address into a form. That is why nothing happens here until you click the link in the confirmation mail: it proves the address belongs to whoever is holding the mailbox, and it means a stranger can never sign you up for post you didn't ask for. It also keeps our list small and honest, which is the only way a small sender stays out of everybody's spam folder.

What we do with your address

We store the address, the language you were reading in, and the date — nothing else, and never a name, a company or a profile. It is used for the newsletter and for nothing else: no advertisers, no partners, no data brokers, not now and not later. Unsubscribing takes one click from any mail, and the moment you do, the row is deleted rather than flagged. Our full privacy statement explains where everything is stored and why.

You don't need this to use the site

Well over a hundred tools on Convertburda work without an address, without an account and without a subscription — converting, compressing, merging, drawing, calculating. Most of them run entirely inside your own browser, which means your file never leaves your computer at all. The newsletter is there for people who want to hear when something new arrives; the site itself is open either way.

Common questions

How often will you mail me?

Only when there's genuine news. A handful of times a year is realistic, and there will be quiet months in between. We would rather send nothing than send filler.

I subscribed but nothing arrived.

The confirmation mail is the first thing we send — check your spam folder, since a first message from an unfamiliar sender often lands there. If it isn't there either, enter your address again and we'll send a fresh link.

How do I unsubscribe?

One click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter. If you also have an account, the same switch sits under Preferences on your profile page. Either way the row is removed, not merely marked.

Do I need an account to subscribe?

No. The newsletter and an account are two separate things: you can have either, both, or neither. An account is only useful if you want to hold credits, a day pass or an unlocked category — the free tools ask for nothing.
